Getting Balanced Before Baby

an adventure in personal reflection and change

End of Week 4- Making Progress

The end of yesterday (tuesday) was officially end of week 4. I have been on Medifast for a month now. It is feeling more apart of my daily life rather than a “diet” that I’m on.

This last week I still haven’t been 100% on plan but I’ve been making good choices and keeping my caloric intake low, as well as my sugars. That’s been a big learning curve for me. I didn’t realize how much my body “held on to” those sugars even when I wasn’t consuming a soda a day, ect. I love carbs! But carbs don’t love me.

I’ve adjusted to much smaller meal portions, I’m eating more frequently, and I’m not hungry all the time like in the beginning. Although, at the amount of calories I’m on currently, I have NO extra energy to work out. I am trying to get motivated to at least have a mile walk every other day. But it’s been hard.

Weigh in today was better than last week. I am officially in the “160’s”.

Last week: 171.2

This week 168.8

Lost this week= 2.4 pounds

Grand total= 12.2 pounds lost this month

I am planning on continuing Medifast until I reach my goal of 155lbs. Which will most likely mean I will be on plan for another month. Slow and steady wins the race, I’m looking forward to reaching the finish line this summer!

That’s wonderful! I feel some of my muffin is coming off now too! Happy about that, although I feel bloated today. I hate that! You look fatter than you are and it’s just gas and water. Good thing my body is craving salads now with the heat. They’re going down well. Keep up the good work! Can’t wait to see you!
